Akbar, Silver ½ Mahmudi, 2.78g, (Mulher) Mint, (struck by rajah of Baglana for surat traders), The Rajas of Baglana, a semi-autonomous tributary state under the Mughals, struck small, high-purity silver Mahmudi coins (and half-Mahmudis) at their capital, Mulher (in modern-day Nashik district, Maharashtra). Issued in the name of the Mughal Emperor Akbar, these coins were actively used to facilitate trade with Persian merchants passing through the seaport of Surat. KM 71.1. Very Fine+, Scarce.
