| Afghanistan Durranis, Silver Rupee, 11.22g, Ahmad Shah (1747-1772 AD), Lahore Mint, AH 1178/19 RY (1764-1765 AD), this is the last regular Durrani coinage at AH1178 (known both for regnal year 18 and 19), thus struck at or just after the Sikh conquest in 1765 before the Sikhs began striking their own coins dated VS1822, which started in 1765 , Ahmad Shah rupees of Lahore AH1178 year 18 are only moderately scarce, but year 19 is very rare. First time offered in any Indian auction. Km 623. Toned Mint State. Very Rare. |
