Victoria Empress, Silver, 1/4 Rupee, 1890, Bombay Mint, C(i)/II, 'B' incused, Queens jabot has 3 complete panels but w/o letter 'V'. F. Prid Unlisted. GK 717. Fine+. Very Rare. From 1885-1890, the Bombay mint used Reverse II for the quarter rupees, and transitioned to Reverse I for coins struck for 1891. In some very few instances, Reverse I was employed in the coins struck for 1890. Reverse I is very rare and hardly seen in 1890 Bombay 1/4 Rupees. |
