Victoria Queen, Silver, 2 Annas, 1874, Bombay Mint, A/I, Dot, Queens jabot has 4 complete panels, Inverted 'V' raised in the centre of the bust. F. Prid Unlisted. GK 739. Very Fine. Very Rare. Though the Bombay mint had begun using the dot as its mintmark in the Rupees from about 1863 and in the Quarter Rupees from 1874, its use in 2 annas commenced only from 1877, except in a few exceeding rare and seldom seen instances in the 2 annas of 1874 and 1876. Exceedingly Rare. |
