George V, Silver, Rupee, 1922, Bombay Mint, Dot, Elephant-type. F. Prid 228. GK 1044. NGC Slabbed MS 64. Exceedingly Rare. The lowest mintage of Rupees in the reign of George V was recorded in 1922 and among all the British India Rupees (1835-1939), only 1897 Calcutta, 1897 Bombay and 1898 Calcutta have lower mintages. Hence these coins are relatively rarer to come by, especially in high grades. (Only 13 coins graded higher by NGC and 2 by PCGS in this category till 1/3/2025) |
