Vijayanagara kingdom, Harihara II, 1377-1404AD, Gold Pratapa (Half Varaha), 1.69g, 10.12x10.41 mm, Obv: Lord Shiva seated in padmasana with his consort Parvati sitting on his left thigh, Trident and Damaruga are in his hands, Rev: Nagari legend in three lines reading “ShriPra/TaPaHaRi/HaRa”. It is interesting to note that the letter “Ha” in the center line is executed in retrograde. Ref: Studies in Vijayanagar Coins K Ganesh #24 pg 59. V Haraihara II succeeded Bukka I as the Vijayanagar ruler. It was during his rule that the Wodeyars were first appointed as governors of Mysuru region. Almost Mint State, Rare. Estimate
