Kakatiyas of Warangal, Mahadeva (c. 1196-1199 AD), Silver Dramma, 0.87g, Varaha type, Obv: Lion walking to left side, Rev: Nagari legend ‘Mahdev’ and below Boar (Varaha) facing to left side. Mahadeva succeeded his brother Rudradeva but ruled only for three years.He died at the hands of Jaitugi while besieging the Yadava capital Devagiri. Mahadeva’s son Ganapatideva was famous ruler in Kaktiyas dynasty. Only two inscription found of Mahadeva one from Sundella in the Peddapalli taluka, Karimnagar dist. Dated 1197 and another one undated in Warangal fort. Estimate
