Chitradurga Nayakas (15-16 Cen AD), Gold Varaha, 3.33g, 13.19x13.35mm, Obv: Seated Balakrishna with a ball of butter in his right hand, Dotted border, Rev: Nagari legend in three lines reading ‘(Shriprata)/pakri(shna)/raya’. (Popularly known as Durgi pagoda, these Varahas were mostly issued by Chitradurga Nayakas in the name of their overlord, Krishnadevaraya). Ref: K. Ganesh, Karnataka Coins, 9.84.
